The year gets off to a sensational start for The Busker, the Irish whiskey made at our Royal Oak distillery in Carlow County, Ireland. This result is also due to the unfailingly meticulous commitment of people at the distillery, individuals who work with such passion that they too have won major honors, namely: Royal Oak’s own Lisa Ryan and Woody Kane, respectively “Distillery Manager of the Year 2021” and “Visitor Attraction Manager of the Year 2021” according to Ireland’s prestigious “Icons of Whisky” awards.
The global bartender community as well has shown great enthusiasm for our range of whiskeys. Recently, on the occasion of the Bartenders Brand Awards 2021, The Busker won the silver medal in the “Taste” section for all four varieties of the whiskey plus gold, silver and bronze medals in the “Value” category, respectively for The Busker Pot Still, The Busker Blend and Single Malt (silver for both) and The Busker Single Grain.
Completing this gratifying picture for Illva Saronno’s whiskey is the latest success on the part of The Busker Triple Cask Triple Smooth, which earned the title of “Best Buy among Irish Whiskey Blends” from Wine Enthusiast magazine. One of the most authoritative American journals in the sector, it gave The Busker blend an impressive 94 points, placing it as the best Irish Whiskey Blended.
Meanwhile for this past Saint Patrick’s Day, the first The Busker spot was launched on the U.S. market, where sales of this product are growing exponentially. Available on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook, it aims to reach more than 54 million consumers, millennials most of all.
